i was just wondering if anyone has heard of ways to call in cougars. also if anyone has tried these tactics and what success they had. i know there is cougars in my area and have seen several in the past. being forturenate and lucky enough to shoot one about a year ago while cutting firewood. i've heard that finding fresh tracks, following them, and setting up and calling works, but haven't tried it. any tips will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Might try a fawn in distress.

You may want to go to the Foxpro website and ask around there. Some of the guys on that site have called in the big cats and taken them. It would be the ultimate challenge IMHO. Good lluck in your quest.

I was calling in Coyotes one day and had a Cougar show up. I saw him just for a second and he was gone. I didn't even have time to get my handgun on him. I was using a dying jackrabbit mouth call. It was such a suprize. I now watch for the cats while I'm calling in Bears and Coyotes just in case.
