I reload now in the corner of the car shop at home, but were moving and I got the ok from dad to have my own gun/reloading area in the new shop once we get it built at the new place. Does anybody have any ideas on a compact reloading setup that I can arrange for my new room? I'm doing ok with the setup now, but everything I have has to be removable and put away because there is no dedicated space for them (except the press). Thats why the trimmer is in the vice.

Some design more permanent would be nice, as well as room for a good gun-safe!

Any floorplan suggestions?

You're not moving too far I trust?

I have no suggestions on the "portable" affair, I have stuff scattered all over the garage!! What a mess.

No, were just going to Millstadt, only about 10 miles away.

All over is how all of my other stuff is biggrin.gif But I'm paranoid about my reloading gear lol!

Jerry try this set-up, I am about to make one myself, great for laoding in the back of the van at the range.

Portable loading

its the second feature down the list.

Are you moving as in house & home or just the garage?? If it's just the garage then leave it where it's at & re-organize. Or is thia a leased garage maybe?? Just a thought.

Here is the one I built. It is made of 2x4's, and 1" plywood and has a 46 x 28" top. Its fairly simple to make and the top shelves are removable. If you are interested, let me know and I can get you more specific info.

Hey eastky454,

Thats a slick setup! I like it! I'm not sur how I'd want to build mine, but that looks like a good setup. Does anybody know how a Stainless Steel bench would work? I'd assume some extra precautions would need to be taken, like grounding the table. Just a thought.

Glen, sorry about not answering your question, we are moving from our home, garage/shop, etc to about 10 miles south, we have some land (read: across the street from my uncle's farm where I hunt cool.gif ) instead of having to deal with neighbors in town.

Thanks,
Jerry

Edit: while were remodeling the house after we get our current one sold, were gonna live at the farm house, so thats even better...I might just stay there laugh.gif
