I've never been hog hunting ever! However, its something I really think I would like to do. I've never been much of a big game hunter but, I shoot pd's and yotes a bunch.
Here's my problem. I don't know where to start. I live in Colorado and Texas would be an easy trip. That is where I think I want to go. I want to take a client and a good friend along so I don't want to fail in getting some shooting.
Thoughts, commets?

If failure is not an option and your taking a "client" hire a guide and write it off as a business trip. that way you shouldnt fail cuz you'll have a local that knows the area!

I agree with 243 AI. If you don't have private land to hunt on, and you are coming very far, hire a guide in advance and they will likely get you some hog shooting.
Hog hunting is fun with a rifle, but it's a blast to do with a big bore (41 Mag/45 LC/44 Mag +) revolver/handgun. Ask about it....
Most of the best hog hunting - both wild feral hogs and Javelina - are Central, East, and South Texas. West Texas also has some good areas. From Colorado, West Texas south of the Panhandle would be the closest bet for good hunting.
