Man.........!!!!
Dawgmaster,
I watched your thread/contest here last year and see the same this year.
I got to tell ya, to my eyes that is some great looking hunting country with great looking large, nice coated healthy Coyotes to match.
For this small town guy the W.W.W. gives me a chance to see some of the places I may never get to hunt or see. Its kind of like watching the Planet Earth series on the Discovery channel Sunday nights (BTW-awesome show/great photography,etc.). I am an avid Steelhead fisherman whom through photos, film, etc. has determined..........some day if I get the time and chance, I would would like to go fish British Columbia for trophy Steelhead.
For Coyote hunting your area is the British Columbia of Steelheading in my book. Cherish what you have and enjoy the outdoors.
Do me(and likely others) a favor if you have time in the future. Add somemore photos of the terrain along with a small paragraph about your hunt now and then.
You have some really, really nice looking country along with big healthy Coyotes there.
Enjoy the outdoors & thanks,
Bill

Thanks pob,
We are pretty spolied here as far as having great coyote populations, probably the nicest coyotes in North America, and some real cool country to hunt them.
I'll post some pics of the terrain after I get out again. Giving them a break right now...it's just too mild here right now...it's only been in the 20-30s F so calling is poor! We need some cold to get them hungry.

No green stuuf there! I'll pass on the 50-60 degree drop. I actually saw some snow flakes hit the windshield today. I saw a 35 degree high on the truck display today. I didn't get out of the truck either.

I was out Monday morning it was -2 with a 12 MPH wind. No hill for a climber like you, but I was thinking what do you use to lubricate your rifle bolt, and keep it from getting stiff? Mine was hard to work at a balmy
-2.

Jan 26 2008, 06:03 AM
Rich,
I've coyote called right thru to -20F many, many times and have never had a rifle problem yet!
I spray clean the bolt with G96 and then apply some 3in1 oil to a few spots on the bolt and slap her back together.
