Yep! It tore her up. She was shot @ maybe 70 yds. I was shooting down hill and she was running away from the foxpro. It put her in 5th gear when she saw it.

I didn't think it would blow a hole like that but I guess a dead dog is a dead dog. I really imagined it would be more fur friendly than that. Apparently the hit was near the spine. Either way it's still #1 on a list of many for you!! Congrats on one down & the rest to go!!

Way to go shooter!! Givin DM a run for his title I see!!
Is your Swift fox & our Red fox the same?? They look to be the same size.
shooter
Dec 1 2007, 05:30 PM
They are not the same. These guys are little suckers. The 17 FB almost took his head off. The photo looks good compared to the other side of the fox. I tried to salvage it but, I gave up after about 30 stitches and the hole was not even a 1/4 done. His head did come on off when I got it skinned to the shoulders too!

Nice dogs!
13 to win????

Sounds like some team did a little bit of cheating.

A team would have to find one hell of a honey-hole to get 13 in a day!

I'm not anywheres near NM, but I'm sick of hearing some of you guys crying about 13 coyotes as being fishy or cheating perhaps!!!!
Got off your a$$ and try it!
13 is nothing! Contests around here and 13 would be lucky to be top 5 team!

Congrats to the team that got 13 coyotes in one day. That's one hell of a haul and something to brag about! I've been calling coyotes in NM for more than 20 years, and I've never shot 13 in one day. There are many, many coyote hunters in NM, and I think it would be hard for ANYONE to get 13.....unless they found a honey-hole that no one had been into for several years. Dogmaster, get your a$$ out of the snow, get down here in the desert, and lets see what you can do!
Congrats Shooter, keep whackin and stackin!

I put this one on a stretcher Glen. The FB did what I wanted out of it. I think the distance had a part in it but, the .172 entrance hole is nice for the fur dealer.

Been doing good buddy. My crazy neighbor was ripping off a few shots just at dark last night. I stepped out of the shop to take a look around, but saw nothing. There isn't any season open right now except coyote/furberer. Having taken today off work to go to the school Christmas functions, I went for a ride around the hill. Sure enough, there were coyote tracks across the road from old crazy Burpee. I figure the yodeler is still doing fine. Burp doesn't shoot so great. I may have something to do over Christmas vacation after all.

Keep whackin' those yotes buddy, that feller up north is making it a real shootin' match. Good luck,R.J.

Wind was 20-30 mph yesterday so I didn't get out of the truck much. Looked over some new turf and pulled one coyote out of the thick stuff.

Yeah, it's all fun and games till someone looses an eye! Cool! "In the face" buddy. The fur man is going to think you talked that one down,no holes.
That middle yote looks like it is in pretty nice fur. Good size to it too. I don't see much carnage on the yotes. I thought the 6/284 would knock some pretty big drain holes in them.
