Hey folks! Welcome to the Second Annual Varminter.com Predator Contest forum. Last year, Doghog and Sandog from the Varminter Forums contacted me about this site putting on a Predator Contest. After picking their brains and hearing stories about some of the contests they participated in, we came to the conclusion that a Predator Contest would be great! But, we decided to make things a little bit different than your ordinary contest. Read on and find out how it works...

Who Can Participate?: Anyone who is a member of the Varminter Forums and who contacts me via Private Message with the following information:

City, State, Zip
Telephone Number
Email Address

You must be registered with me before you can participate in the contest. Once I receive your complete info, I will open a forum thread with your Forum Login Name. This thread will be used for you to post pictures of your kills, but more on that later.

Dates: The contest will begin on November 15, 2007 and end on February 28, 2008. Any animal's pictures posted before or after these dates will not qualify.

Point System: Here is the twist. Everyone who participates will get one point. After that, any predator killed along with a qualifying picture posted, will receive one point. At the end of the contest, your points will be converted into raffle tickets. These raffle tickets will then be drawn for a corresponding prize. This will give every participant a chance. But, those who hunt harder will have a better chance of winning a prize. There is a list of prizes at the top of this forum, along with the names and info of those who donated the prizes. More prizes will be added as they are donated, so check that sub-forum often.

Qualifying Animals: Any legal, in season, predator. They must be called in and not trapped. (Coyote, Bobcat, Fox, Badger, Raccoon, Wolf & Mountain Lion all qualify)

Qualifying Pictures: Here is another twist. On November 14, 2006, a link to a printable contest card will be posted in the Varminter.com Predator Contest forum. You must print out this contest card and include it, along with the predator call, firearm used and the dead animal within your posted picture. The posted picture must show these items, or it will not qualify for a raffle ticket.

Also, this is very important, a NEW contest card will be posted on the first of every month. Any posted pictures of animals taken after that date must include the new contest card.

So, every qualifying posted picture in your thread, must include a dead predator, the current printed out contest card, the call (hand or electronic) used to call the predator in and the firearm used to shoot the predator.
