Folks, I have a horrible time with optics because of the very strong RX of my glasses.
I have tried every spotting scope I come across, and have the same problem. I have to get so close to the eyepiece that my glasses touch, and when I do touch them it moves the scope enough that I lose the target.
I saw a "Burris Extended Eye" (that was the only thing on the scope) spotter at our IR5050 match Saturday. I could actually see well enough to spot the 22 holes at 50 yards, without moving the scope.
I was told the Burris Spotting Scope is no longer made, but I might find one online somewhere.
I did recieve an email from a dealer that said Bushnell does make a scope that should work for me.
The Scope Model is: Bushnell 15 x 45 x 60 Long Eye ReliefThe only thing I have ever seen made by Bushnell are the junk scopes they sell in wallyworld. They claim 1.5" of eye relief on the above spotting scope. I haven't checked yet, but I think this spotter is in the $150 range.
Unless I find another brand that has Extended Eye Relief, I suppose I will have to take a chance on it. Any input would be great, and if anyone has such a scope please email the details and price. Thanks,
Gene
