According to the Louisville Courier-Journal newspaper last Friday, there are now wild hogs in Bernheim Forest, less than 50 miles or so from Louisville, tearing up that scenic park/forest area. While only special hunts are authorized on Bernheim itself, there is a new WMA right across the fence from the Forest, which opens up all kinds of interesting possibilities for hunting close to home for me. Officials at Bernheim are estimating nearly 200 hogs are infesting the place, they might have moved in, due to the scarcity of acorns and other fodder during the extreme drought that's covering the state right now. I'll let you all know what I hear.................
