Thinking about getting out on Tejon for some hogs. I have never been on the property and wondered if any have any experience. How much is it who to contact etc etc....

I was there about 5 years ago nice place but they have banned lead ammo on the ranch and have raised there prices since then.

I guess you could get some barnes bullets and pay 700$ for a guided pig hunt.

I hunt on Twisselman ranch

They let you stay at one of there nice bunk house's shoot all the varmints you want and they will get you a pig for half the price of tejon.

Lead's not banned, yet. It starts in 2008. The cost is normally $450.00 or so for a "Pig Management Hunt". Those are only on certain weekends, but most of those hunts are over until fall. It's a huge place, with a ton of pigs.

Downsides, you only get 2.5 days to hunt and you cannot shoot varmints.

Otherwise you can go with a small game permit like I have and add a hog. You'll be up to $1500.00, which is pricey.

Tejon's ban goes into effect on January 1, 2008. The rest of the state is still in limbo.

Probably no Tejon for me next year, for various reasons, that being one.

Andrew has the nice 400yrds shooting range outside the cabin and squirrels everywhere.
Both are great guys.

Andrew also has some fenced in exotics but all the pigs are wild free range.

They have about 80,000 acres it's a fricken huge ranch I think he said around 60 square miles.
