I was out coyote hunting last night around 8:15, and as I was scoping the other side of the canyon I was hunting, I saw a herd of maybe 30 pigs. I called my dad to ask if we had permission, he said no, I said their 800 yards away, shoot? He said sure go ahead. I didn't shoot because my .243 wouldn't have had much thump at 800 yards. My dad called the owner of that land last night, and he is glad that we're coming over to shoot his pigs. we got an ambush plan set up, so I think It's gonna be fun tonight.

Give them hell, hope to some pics from the ambush. We spotted a sow and some piglets 2 days ago, but were unable to take a shot off. No problem, we'll we back........

I didnt see anything, but I know they're there. I'm gonna start using the .300 Wby, I dont want an angry boar coming after me. My .243, .22-250, and even 12 guage are a lil light.

That's why i bought my marlin 44 mag to knock them down....

My next purchase is a .17HMR, so no dice there. That Savage has been calling my name for a looooong time now.
